‘They make you feel very special’ says Rachel Wiesz of Will, Kate & Harry

Rachel Weisz has spoken of her encounter with William, Catherine and Harry at the Royal Premiere ‘Spectre’, and had nothing but good things to say about the Royals.

Speaking on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, the actress revealed her embarrassing moment – having just been to the bathroom, she still had wet hands when she met The Duke of Cambridge!

“The guy in charge of the princes was like ‘The Prince is coming! The Prince is coming!'” Weisz explained. “So I didn’t have time to dry my hands.

“So I curtseyed and I said, ‘Oh good evening, your Royal Highness. It’s such a pleasure to meet you. I’m sorry my hands are wet, I just washed them and I didn’t have time to dry them.’

“He [William] looked at me and said, ‘Well, at least they’re clean!’. He just made me feel so good.”

The wife of James Bond star Daniel Craig also spoke with The Duchess of Cambridge about his absence:

“She turned to me just as she was leaving and said ‘I bet you’re glad to have him home. My eyes filled with tears ’cause that’s exactly what I was feeling.”

Catherine no doubt has some empathy, her husband having spent six weeks in the Falklands in 2012, when he was still in the RAF, though Rachels’ husband was away for almost a year.

“They make you feel very special,” she said. “They’re really good.”
