William and Catherine turned up during Scott Mills’ game ‘Real or No Real’ to talk about the ‘mental health marathon’, and stayed to help Greg James co-host the Official Chart Show, having a go at radio presenting themselves.

The Royals left Adele speechless as Scott welcomed them to the studio, while she was discussing her preparations for Sunday’s 26-mile run, giving her ‘huge thanks’ for running for their cause, as well as a goody bag.

LADY GAGA FACETIMES PRINCE WILLIAM

The Duke and Duchess and Prince Harry will be attending the race to cheer on the runners.

During the chat, Prince William revealed the couple love of the station, admitting he once had a shout out from former DJ Sara Cox after sending a text into her show under a false name. “I felt very privileged,” he said. “I’m probably on the edge of your age limit, I’m probably supposed to go on Radio 2 now but I’m hanging on in there.”

This morning, they released a video of themselves and Prince Harry chatting about their personal struggles and Heads Together, revealing it was Kate’s idea.

The couple also revealed they had previously attended Radio 1’s big weekend at Bangor when they lived in Anglesey, North Wales. “That’s when we first saw Ellie [Goulding] perform live,” Catherine told the host.

“Cheryl Cole was there and we had a very sweaty man hug with Tinie Tempah, which was amusing,” William added.

The Duke and Duchess admitted they struggled to find a gift for The Queen’s 91st birthday today, which she celebrated at Newbury Races. Catherine said of her husband: “You’re very good at making things. Now we have children around they can make things.”

Showing more of the normalcy of the Cambridge family, the Prince and Duchess spoke of their TV loves, revealing that they watch Homeland, Game Of Thrones and Neighbours, but had never seen Gogglebox. They enjoy their film nights on the sofa, with a curry if possible, but not when at Kensington.

The parents of George and Charlotte also explained they have to watch a lot of children’s TV because “George gets offended if you’re not taking it seriously”.

“George has gone past Peppa Pig,” the Duke said, adding that Fireman Sam was popular in their house at the moment.

Afterwards, the Royal couple joined DJ Greg James for the chart countdown: “We’ve been brought because Greg isn’t good enough,” the Duke joked, saying he does listen to the show.

Greg counted his guests in as they pre-recorded a segment to introduce the charts – watch them present below!
