Things to know about the new Princess of Cambridge (Royal Baby 2)

We now know that The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s second child arrived today, 2nd May; so what do you need to know about the Princess of Cambridge, and what does this mean for the Monarchy and the UK?

1. The Princess’ birth will be announced to The Queen first, followed by other senior members of the Royal Family. An easel will then be placed at Buckingham Palace stating the time of birth and weight of the new arrival for the public.

2. William and Kate’s daughter is 4th in line to the throne. This pushes Prince Harry into 5th and The Duke of York into 6th.www.flickr.com/photos/121483302@N02/14023793944/ theglobalpanorama

3. The new arrival will make her first public appearance as the family leave the hospital to a crowd of journalists and photographers, as Prince George did.

4. Being born in late April, the girl will be a Taurus in the Astrological calendar. This supposedly means she will be practical, grounded, and laid-back.

5. Grandparents Carole and Michael Middleton will almost certainly visit their new granddaughter in hospital, and, providing there is not a clash between any engagements, the Princess of Cambridge will likely have a visit from Prince Charles and Camilla – but there are rumours they are at Highgrove, Gloucestershire.

6. The baby will spend her first few days at Kensington Palace, but then the Cambridges will move to Anmer Hall, their Norfolk hom on The Queen’s Sandringham Estate. William has completed his training with the East Anglian Air Ambulance service and will begin his job after taking the standard 2 weeks paternity leave.

7. It will likely take a few days for William and Catherine to name their daughter, but it seems they will do it before they leave London. The favourite name is Alice. Her title will be Princess ______ of Cambridge.

7. If William and Catherine have another son after, this daughter will automatically take precedence over him due to the 2013 Succession to the Crown Act, effected in March 2015.

The Crown Chronicles will keep you updated with all Royal Baby news as it comes!
