Woman attacks Prince George for being born into Royal Family

In a shocking slur of an attack on the Royal Family, a woman from the British Council has said Prince George lives on ‘public money’ and under ‘white privilege’.

Angela Gibbins, who is head of global estates at the government-funded language assistantship organisation, commented on a photo of the 3-year-old prince which had been captioned: “I know he’s only two years old, but Prince George already looks like a f****** d***head.”

While Gibbins did not write the caption, her comment beneath showed her true republican feelings. “White privilege. That cheeky grin is the innate knowledge he’s royal, rich, advantaged and will never know *any* difficulties or hardships in life.

“Let’s find photos of 3yo Syrian refugee children and see if they look alike, eh?”

The British Council sends Brits abroad to help teach English, and promotes the UK in over 100 countries. It is a charity with a Royal Charter – and its patron is Her Majesty.

“I’m sound in my socialist, atheist and republican opinions,” Gibbins defended herself. “I don’t believe the Royal Family have any place in a modern democracy, least of all when they live on public money. That’s privilege and it needs to end.”

The organisation has pledged to investigate Angela’s comments.

“This comment was made on a private social media account. It has absolutely no connection to the British Council and does not represent the views of the British Council.

“That said, we expect the highest standards of our staff and we will be investigating the matter further.”

While republicans are certainly entitled to voice their opinion, this personal attack on George was unnecessary. He almost certainly cannot comprehend the position he has been born into: to one day be King.

His privilege also comes at a cost to his personal life – committing likely decades of his time to public duties, as well as press intrusion, which George seems to have already experienced. The good work with charitable organisations is also one which is often not taken into account by those with such views: any president or politician elected as Head of State does not have the time to carry out all the work that the Royal Family does, so less people would be recognised for their positive contributions to their communities.

She also mistakenly says the Royal Family live on public money – The Queen receives a portion of the money that the Crown Estate makes over the year, with the Treasury acting as the intermediary for the money. George does not receive ANY of this – he and his parents are funded by Prince Charles’ Duchy of Cornwall, on which he pays tax. You can read more about its finances here.

Lady, you are some piece of work, he is a 3 year old boy not responsible for who he was born to. How can any decent human being attack such a sweet child who is incredibly innocent little boy? Angela Gibbons, you ought to be ashamed of yourself!

i think the royals are very good for this country and i think little Prince George will have to grow up with a lot of responsibility but for now he is a little boy and we should let him enjoy that, these comments by Angela Gibbons are totally uncalled for and she should be ashamed of herself and i think she should face some sort of disciplinary action because of it. Lady Catherine is a wonderful mother and she has coped well with all of her responsibilities as well, she is down to earth and i think this will help Prince George feel not so much as a Prince but maybe more of an upper class progeny, i am ok with all the Royals and i think the do a really Good job for this country, you cant forget that they are still people like you and me and we should look up to them.

What can one say? The rabid left reduces all human interactions to power struggles (Love? Loyalty? Duty? Those must be reactionary nonsense!). They also want to level everything to wipe out all that makes us different — that makes us interesting. How horrible it must be to be so committed to anti-nature. I feel sad for people like Miss Gibbins.

This woman is an absolute disgrace! Prince George is just a happy wee boy and has done absolutely nothing her or anyone else except bring a little joy when we do get to see him dong ‘little boy things’. Leave the child alone and pick on someone you own size who actually deserves it ~ and they won’t be Royal!!!!
