Royal diary: upcoming engagements 26th March-1st April

In the royal diary this week is a decommissioning ceremony for The Queen, a visit to Cumbria for Prince Charles while The Duke of Kent will head to Powys.

26th March:

– The Prince of Wales will visit Cumbria, beginning with his arrival at Langwathby Railway Station, to meet volunteers who help to maintain the station; he will then go to the Lake District attraction Ullswater ‘Steamers’ company The Pier House, Glenridding; visit the National Centre for the Uplands at Newton Rigg College, Low Beckside Farm, Mungrisdale, as patron of the Prince’s Countryside Fund; undertake a Seeing is Believing visit to James Cropper PLC, Kendal, as Royal Founding Patron of Business in the Community; and attend a ceremony to unveil the official plaque to designate the Lake District National Park as a United Nations Educational, Scientific & Cultural Organization World Heritage Site in Keswick.

– The Duke of Kent will attend the Armonico Consort concert at the Royal Albert Hall.

27th March:

– The Queen will attend the Decommissioning Ceremony of HMS OCEAN at HM Naval Base Devonport, Plymouth.

– The Princess Royal, patron of The Butler Trust, will visit HM Prison North Sea Camp, Boston, Lincolnshire. Princess Anne will also visit the National Coastwatch Institution Skegness Lookout, as their royal patron.

28th March:

– The Princess Royal, patron of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists, will visit West Suffolk Hospital, Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk and chair a Council of Management Meeting at Bedford Lodge Hotel in Newmarket, Suffolk as patron of the Animal Health Trust.

– The Duke of Kent will visit Clayton Engineering, and will visit Radnor Hills Water, Knighton, Powys.

29th March:

– The Princess Royal, Guardian of Give Them A Sporting Chance, will hold a Management Team Planning Meeting at her home, Gatcombe Park. Anne is also to hold a Management Team Meeting there as guardian of The Chaffinch Trust.
