Royal diary – upcoming engagements 5-11th February

This week Prince Edward is in India, and Princess Anne is in South Korea for the Winter Olympics.

Prince Edward is visiting India this week, after a trip to Sri Lanka with the Countess (Northern Ireland Office)

5th February:

– The Earl of Wessex is to visit Mumbai, India. As Chairman of the Board of Trustees for The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, he will attend a reception and visit the Indian School of Management & Entrepreneurship/Indian School of Design & Innovation (ISME/ISDI).

– The Princess Royal, member of the International Olympic Committee and Chair will attend the 132nd International Olympic Committee Session in Pyeongchang.

6th February:

– The Prince of Wales, president of the British Asian Trust, accompanied by The Duchess of Cornwall, will host a reception and dinner celebrating the charity’s 10th anniversary at Buckingham Palace.

– The Earl of Wessex will visit Dr Shirodkar High School, Mumbai as chairman of the Board of Trustees for The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, and attend a Roundtable Discussion with Indian Employers at the Taj Lands End Hotel as Chancellor of University of Bath. Prince Edward will also attend the CREATECH Conference at the Taj Lands End Hotel; attend the Tech Rocketship Awards at the Taj Lands End Hotel; attend a Female Entrepreneurs Lunch Event at the Taj Lands End Hotel, Mumbai, India. In addition to this he will attend an Alumni Reception at the Leela Palace, New Delhi, as Chancellor of the University of Bath, and a ‘Chevening Scholars and Fellows’ Dinner, New Delhi, India.

– The Princess Royal will attend the 132nd International Olympic Committee Session in Pyeongchang.

– The Duke of Kent, president of the Council of Trustees, will visit King Edward VII Hospital (Sister Agnes), London.

– Princess Alexandra will visit Holophane Europe Limited, Bletchley, Milton Keynes.

7th February:

– The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall will officially open The National Grid’s London Power Tunnels project, National Grid Substation, London. Camilla will later attend a reception for ‘Women in Journalism’, The Ned, London.

– The Duchess of Cambridge will officially open the new ‘Clouds in the Community’ treatment centre on Runwell Road, Wickford, Essex, as their patron.

– The Earl of Wessex will visit the ASHA Community Centre, Jeevan Nagar Slum, New Delhi, India, and attend the Young India Student of the Year Awards at the British Council in New Delhi, as Chancellor of University of Bath. He will also attend a Gold Award Ceremony for the DofE award at the India International Centre, before attending a ‘Sports and Empowerment’ Lunch, and a dinner at the Imperial Hotel.

– Princess Alexandra, Royal Patron of Children and Families Across Borders, will attend the International Child Protection Dinner at the Residence of the Ambassador of Kuwait, London.

8th February:

– The Prince of Wales will attend an Invest in Futures reception at St James’s Palace in his role as president of The Prince’s Trust.

– The Countess of Wessex, president of the Westmorland County Agricultural Society, will attend the Westmorland Show AGM, Milnthorpe, Cumbria, as well as visiting Carlisle Mencap as the charity’s patron. Sophie will also open Annie Mawson’s Sunbeams Music Centre in Penrith.

– The Princess Royal, president of the British Olympic Association, will attend the Team GB Flag Raising Ceremony in Pyeongchang, as well as the President’s Dinner and the Team GB reception.

– The Duke of Kent, Grand Master of the United Grand Lodge of England, will attend the Board of Grand Stewards’ dinner at the Garrick Club, London.

9th February:

– The Prince of Wales, Colonel-in-Chief of The Mercian Regiment, will visit the 1st Battalion, Picton Barracks, Bulford, Wiltshire, to mark ten years as Colonel-in-Chief and forty years since becoming Colonel-in-Chief of The Cheshire Regiment.

– The Princess Royal will attend the Opening Reception and Ceremony for the XXIII Winter Olympic Games at the Pyeongchang Stadium, Republic of Korea.

– Princess Alexandra, patron of the Tavistock Clinic, will visit the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust, London.

10th February:

– The Princess Royal will attend the XXIII Winter Olympic Games in Pyeongchang.

11th February:

– The Princess Royal will attend the XXIII Winter Olympic Games in Pyeongchang.
