Royal diary: upcoming royal engagements 27th May-2nd June

This week is a little quieter on the royal engagement front, likely as there is to be a State Visit next week, requiring all hands on deck to welcome the US President.

28th May:

The Prince of Wales will visit and open Powerstock Affordable Housing Development, Forge Orchard, Powerstock, Dorset. Prince Charles will also visit the Duchy of Cornwall office in Poundbury to view an exhibition as part of the Open for Art project, Dorchester.

– The Duke of Gloucester will attend the book launch of “The Archaeology of Afghanistan” at the Society of Antiquaries of London, Burlington House, London.

29th May:

– The Queen will give a garden party at Buckingham Palace.

– The Princess Royal, Colonel-in-Chief of The Royal Corps of Signals, will attend the Bulford Kiwi Centenary and 249 Gurkha Signal Squadron Reformation Parade, Picton Barracks, Bulford Camp, Salisbury, Wiltshire. Princess Anne will later head to Estonia to begin a visit.

– Princess Alexandra will visit Penny’s Hospital Almshouses, Lancaster; Westfield War Memorial Village; and open Lancaster Community Fire and Ambulance Station.

30th May:

– The Princess Royal, Colonel-in-Chief of The King’s Royal Hussars, will visit Operation CABRIT at Tapa Military Base, Tapa 45 106, Estonia. Anne will visit the President of Estonia at Kadriorg Palace and lay wreaths at the Estonian War Memorial and the Comonwealth War Grave at the Defence Forces Cemetery of Tallinn.

– The Duke of Gloucester will visit: Highcliffe Castle, Dorset; Shire Hall Historic Courthouse Museum, Dorchester; Dorset County Museum; and Rowan House.

– Princess Alexandra, President of the Royal Humane Society, will attend the Annual General Court at Haberdasher’s Hall, London.
