Meghan will join Prince Harry, William, Charles, Queen & other Royals for CHOGM events

The royal households have today announced the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) schedule next week, which will feature The Duke of Cambridge, Prince Harry and fiancée Meghan Markle, as well as Prince Charles, Camilla, The Duke of York and of course, The Queen.

It will be a busy week for the British Royals, with different engagements on each day. Of course, Meghan joined The Queen for the Commonwealth Day Service last month.

Monday 16th April

Prince Harry will officially open the Commonwealth Youth Forum at London’s Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre. The Prince was today announced as being President of The Queen’s Commonwealth Trust, which focuses on developing and promoting young leaders throughout the Commonwealth.

The Duke of Cambridge will also have an engagement at the Conference Centre, which is just opposite Westminster Abbey, attending a ‘Welcome to the UK’ reception. The Duchess of Cambridge is on maternity leave and is not scheduled to attend any events during the CHOGM. The press pen has been opened at the Lindo Wing, where she is due to give birth.

Tuesday 17th April

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall will attend the Commonwealth Big Lunch – of which Camilla is patron – also at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre.

Prince Charles is also to meet civil society representatives from the People’s Forum there, before joining representatives from the Commonwealth Youth Climate Change Network and selected Youth Forum delegates for a roundtable discussion on the work of young people in the Commonwealth.

His son, Prince William, will also be at the Conference Centre for a joint session of the Commonwealth Business and Youth Forums.

Wednesday 18th April

Prince Charles will attend a reception at the closing session of the Commonwealth Business Forum at the Guildhall, and host a reception for Prince’s Trust International at St James’ Palace.

The Duke of York will join his elder brother at the Malaria Summit, where the future King will give the keynote address; Prince Andrew has just become patron of Malaria No More UK. The Summit is being co-hosted by the Heads of State of Rwanda and Swaziland. Other keynote speakers include Bill Gates and Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, as well as UK Government representatives and global leaders from the public and private sectors.

The Duchess of Cornwall, meanwhile, will attend a roundtable meeting and the closing session of the Women’s Forum at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre. After the meeting, the Duchess will also make a short speech in the main forum.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will attend a reception at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre, where the couple will be joined by delegates from the Commonwealth Youth Forum.

Thursday 19th April

The final day of the CHOGM events will be a busy one; William and Harry have a joint engagement as they attend the CHOGM Formal Opening at Buckingham Palace. Charles and Camilla will also be present at this event, where The Prince of Wales will join The Queen at a reception, hosted to welcome new Heads of Government.

Prince Harry will then be joined by Meghan for the CHOGM Women’s Empowerment reception, held at the Royal Aeronautical Society in London.

Later that day, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, The Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry will attend the CHOGM State Dinner at Buckingham Palace.

I am really looking forward to seeing news about the all british royal family members in relation to ” the commonwealth heads of government meeting ” next week including meghan markle who will be proudly joining the royal family with supports of prince harry.
