Details of Prince Harry’s upcoming visit to Nepal have been announced by Kensington Palace, including dates and some of his arranged engagements.
Set to take place between Sunday 20th and Wednesday 23rd March, Harry will first pay a visit to Kathmandu to meet Nepal’s president, Bidya Devi Bhandari, as the trip is on behalf of the government, to build relations between the two countries.

The fifth-in-line to the throne will also see the damage caused by the earthquakes which hit in April and May last year, meeting with those made homeless or who lost loved ones; 8,000 people died in the disaster, whose epicentre was at Mount Everest.
Part of the visit will be to learn about the assistance efforts to rebuild and restore important historic buildings in the area, as well as how natural disasters are prepared for.
A former Army captain himself, having also served alongside Ghurkas in Afghanistan, Prince Harry will visit the British Gurkha Camp in Pokhara.

Ghurka soldiers have been supporting the British military since the early 19th century, and volunteers from the Ghurka community were allowed to serve with the East India Trading Company’s men following a treaty between the British and the Nepalese folk.
He will also learn more about recruitment – numbers are limited – and the assistance the soldiers gave locals in the aftermath of the earthquake.

Noted for its beauty, Henry, 31, will be invited to don his walking boots and take part in a trek whilst in Nepal, at one of the National Parks.
A spokesman for Kensington Palace said that Harry is ‘really looking forward to his first trip to Nepal’.
“It is a country he has long wanted to visit. He has been moved by the stories of resilience of the Nepali people following the earthquakes last year and is now eager to learn more about their country and culture. With Britain and Nepal currently celebrating two hundred years of cooperation, Prince Harry will experience the strength of the relationship and traditional warmth of the Nepali welcome.”

Just to inform you that there are some fantastic people from Lincoln charity Lincs2Nepal doing a hard job to help in Nepal and at the same time some bored bureaucratic people in the UK trying to make their life more difficult.
