Last night, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge attended the 100 Women in Hedge Funds Gala dinner at the Victoria and Albert Museum.
Arriving in a strking blue and red patterned Erdem dress, which has divided opinion, Kate looked relaxed after her engagement earlier in the day, where she revealed George’s preferences to animals over dinosaurs.

100 Women in Hedge Funds is a non-profit organisation for professionals in the alternative investments industry. Its board of directors selects a charitable organization for its philanthropic initiative each year, this time The Art Room UK. The charities rotate, with organisations being selected from women’s and family health, mentoring and education programmes.
The Duchess is Patron of the society’s Philanthropic Initiatives, which have been benefitting The Art Room. The charity uses art therapy to build the confidence of vulnerable children, particularly those experiencing emotional and behavioural difficulties. She became patron of The Art Room, as well as the 100WHF alongside her husband and brother-in-law, Prince Harry, in 2012.
Kate also wore The Queen Mother’s diamond and sapphire earrings, just a week after she donned the Lotus tiara at the Chinese State Banquet.

Presenting the 100WHF 2015 European Leadership Award before the formal dinner began was Catherine’s job for the evening. The award went to Elizabeth Corley, chief executive officer of Allianz Global Investors, for her work mentoring future leaders of the investment banking industry.
The 33-year-old Duchess had photos taken with the board before dinner, handing the award out between courses.
