Happy birthday Kate! Her best outfits of 2015 revisited

Happy birthday to The Duchess of Cambridge! While we don’t know how Catherine will be celebrating her birthday, we definitely can – and it seems appropriate to take a look back at her last year, and the best outfits she wore in 2015.

Mid-January, Kate debuted an ensemble from Seraphine, a maternity label she is fond of. The pale blue coat was paired with the floral print dress, as it appears on the company’s website. Everyone LOVED it.

(And let’s not forget, she received a giant rubber duck for George)

Something else we were a BIG fan of was this Sportmax coat. Underneath was a Temperley shift dress – with a boat print, appropriate for an engagement with Ben Ainsley and the 1855 Trust, non?

March arrived and William and Kate attended the Commonwealth Service at Westminster Abbey in baby pink. The Alexander McQueen coat was seen in 2012 for Trooping the Colour, and was worn with a new Jane Taylor hat, and Prada accessories.

A repeat we enjoyed seeing from the Duchess was this Hobbs dalmatian print coat. A bolder choice for Catherine that we like.

And we couldn’t miss out the fact that Catherine visited DOWNTON ABBEY!

This was one of our favourite outfits of the entire year. The Duchess attended the memorial service marking the end of British presence in Afghanistan, and it was a navy Beulah coat teamed with a Jane Taylor hat. New sparkles also made us happy – some sapphires and diamonds from G. Carrington & Sons.

A pop of bright pink cheered up a dreary March morning with husband William. This Mulberry coat is definitely on our list of items we want from Kate’s wardrobe.

Of course the Duchess looked radiant as she came out of hospital in May, having given birth to Princess Charlotte. This custom Temperley dress was a delicate look for the radiant Catherine.

The Christening outfit was also something to be admired on Catherine – a dream in cream, if you will. Custom Alexander McQueen dress coat with a winged collar, Russell & Bromley ‘Pointy’ heels, and a custom Jane Taylor headpiece.

Wimbledon saw The Duke and Duchess attend one of Andy Murray’s matches. She chose a red LK Bennett dress, the ‘Cayla’. Midi-length and flattering, Kate exuded class.

The beginning of something of an affinity for dogtooth, Catherine chose a Ralph Lauren shirt dress for her first solo engagement after her maternity leave.

William, Kate and Harry attended the rugby. She opted for a cobalt blue coat from Reiss, which was very chic teamed with black accessories.

This unannounced visit to a prison rehabilitation programme saw Kate up the style stakes with this grey ensemble from The Fold.

An unofficial visit saw the trio attend another rugby game. This time, more casually, Catherine chose patterned trousers and a pop of red to support Wales.

October saw Kate don a tiara for the Chinese State Banquet! The Lotus tiara, formerly Princess Margaret’s, sat atop a coiffered hair do with a red custom gown from Jenny Packham.

Unexpected was this purple Dolce and Gabbana dress in a Victoriana-style with lace and a high neckline.

Many commented on the chic style of this next outfit: a blue Christopher Kane coat and kilt combination! This was worn, appropriately, in Dundee, for mental health engagements.

A Royal premiere made us very happy to see this stunning Jenny Packham gown in an icy blue. Edgy and attractive – we want it!

Another gown is this Erdem floral patterned dress. Quite controversial in the field of Kate fans. We like it and it is another bold choice for the Duchess. She was also leant The Queen Mothers earrings.

For Remembrance Sunday, it was a new coat, featuring satin and velvet panels from Alexander McQueen. What do you think?

Another tiara for Kate – this time the Cambridge Lovers Knot tiara – was worn to the Diplomatic Corps reception at Buckingham Palace. Teamed with a still un-seen dress by McQueen.

And finally, it was Christmas and time for a new coat, apparently. This from Sportmax was in festive green, though we weren’t entirely convinced by the shape and fit.. what do you think?
