After announcing that Her Majesty will be relinquishing over 20 of her patronages now she is 90, a number of these charities and organisations have revealed who will be taking over The Queen’s support.
The Holocaust Day Memorial Trust has confirmed that Prince Charles will now be its patron, succeeding The Queen, as has the Royal Institution, which is devoted to scientific education and research.

We expect Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall to take over the patronage of Battersea Dogs Home, a cause she already supports, as well as Barnardo’s, of which she is president.
The Duke of Cambridge takes on a number of new organisations: the Welsh Rugby Union (as future Prince of Wales) and the Amateur Swimming Association.
Meanwhile, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, has been appointed patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club (AELTC) Wimbledon, as well as that of the Lawn Tennis Association. Kate has shown a keen interest in tennis, attending semi-finals matches most years. The Duchess of Gloucester will continue as honorary president. Catherine is also announced to support Action for Children.
Through statements today, Prince Harry is to continue Her Majesty’s support of the RFU and RLU, of which he was vice-patron.

Princess Anne is taking on some work from her mother, including the Royal Geographical Society, while Sophie, Countess of Wessex will now be patron of the NSPCC. We also expect The Princess Royal to become patron of Save the Children, an organisation with which she is already heavily involved.
The Duke of York will become patron of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Children’s Fund.
Others, including the Royal School of Needlework, Blind Veterans UK, and the Edinburgh International Festival, are yet to announce their new Royal patrons. We will update you as the news comes in.
