Royal diary: upcoming royal engagements 11-17th February

The Royals are slowly returning to work after Christmas, although Her Majesty has – unusually – not yet returned from Sandringham.

11th February:

– The Duke of Kent will attend the 10th International Dresden Peace Prize Ceremony at the Semper Opera, Dresden, Germany.

12th February:

– The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall will attend a reception at the Victoria Gallery and Museum, University of Liverpool. Prince Charles is Joint Patron the Liverpool University Centre for Irish Studies.

– The Prince of Wales will visit Royal Albert Dock, Liverpool, to celebrate the dock’s new Royal status ahead of the 175th anniversary of its opening by Prince Albert in 2021; he will also head to St George’s Hall, Liverpool to see its renovations. Back in London, The Prince of Wales, as President of The Royal Ballet School, The Royal Ballet, and Patron of the Royal Opera House, will attend a special world premiere of the ballet The Cunning Little Vixen by Liam Scarlett at the Royal Opera House.

– The Duchess of Cornwall, as patron of Beanstalk, will attend a Beanstalk Story Starters children’s literacy event to celebrate the charity’s partnership with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library at Liverpool Central Library.

– The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will attend the gala performance of ‘The Wider Earth’ in support of The Queen’s Commonwealth Trust.

– The Princess Royal will attend the announcement of the 2019 Prize Winner of The Queen Elizabeth Prize for Engineering, Prince Philip House, London and attend a Reception at Drummonds Bank, London, as patron of The Mary Peters Trust.

13th February:

– The Duchess of Cornwall, President of the National Osteoporosis Society, will attend the official launch of the Royal Osteoporosis Society at the Science Museum, London.

– The Duke of Cambridge will join volunteers at the Passage Charity’s homeless resource centre in a lunch shift, London.

– The Duchess of Cambridge will attend The Royal Foundation’s ‘Mental Health in Education’ conference.

– The Duke of Sussex will attend a reception in London and take part in a Q&A session with England Rugby union co-captain Dylan Hartley, in aid of England Rubgy’s ‘Try for Change’ programme and the Jonny Wilkinson Foundation.

– The Earl and Countess of Wessex will attend the 100 Hearts Event at The London Palladium.

– The Princess Royal will visit the Cruising Association on the occasion of its 110th Anniversary, London. Princess Anne will later attend the Annual Dinner to the Younger Brethren at Trinity House, as Master of The Corporation of Trinity House.

14th February:

– The Duchess of Cornwall, as patron of the London Taxi Drivers’ Charity for Children, will host a reception at Buckingham Palace.

– The Duke of Cambridge will two organisations that are trying to change men’s approach to mental health. Pall Mall Barbers in Paddington will be the first visit, and secondly, a session called ‘Future Dads’ that was set up by the charity Future Men to offer support to men and boys.

– The Duke of Sussex, as Captain General of the Royal Marines, will visit troops participating in the 50th annual military exercises known as Exercise Clockwork, in Bardufoss, Norway,

– The Princess Royal, Fourth Warden of the Fishmongers’ Company, will attend the Committee of Wardens Meeting, General Court Meeting and Luncheon at Fishmongers’ Hall, London.

– Princess Alexandra, Royal Patron of Children and Families Across Borders, will attend the International Child Protection Dinner at the Residence of the Ambassador of Switzerland, London.

15th February:

– The Princess Royal, Fellow of the Science Museum, will visit the Queen Victoria’s Royal Saloon at the National Railway Museum, York. She will also attend the Rural Crime Conference in the city, as President of Victim Support and also visit the Biology Department at the University of York.
